As a Medical Benefit Review Services Associate, Region 8, you will assist disadvantaged and disabled adults in accessing healthcare services to maintain their independence and live at home. You will travel within the Louisiana parishes of Assumption, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, St. John, St. Mary, and Terrebonne.

Responsibilities:

• Perform in-home assessments for applicants and participants of long-term personal care services (LT-PCS).
• Offer choice counseling for Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS).
• Provide an overview of the Long-Term Care Program to applicants.
• Create Person-Centered Plans of Care based on individual needs.
• Complete client monitoring surveys as part of quality management.

Training and Certification:

We will assist you in obtaining IHC Certification with the LA Department of Health and Hospitals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in health and human services, social work, sociology, psychology, or related field.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Desire to work with the public.
• Louisiana residency.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in health-related social or human services.
• Experience working with older adults or individuals with disabilities.
