Job summary

Sames Auto Group in Texas is seeking a courteous Service Advisor to assist customers with repairs and scheduled maintenance. You will consult on needed services, track repairs, and maintain vehicle histories, while promoting labor, parts, and accessories.

The role requires strong customer relations, 2+ years of sales experience, and the ability to work under deadlines in a busy dealership environment. Eligible for benefits and a supportive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Two years of sales experience preferred.
• Technical knowledge of dealership products; estimating experience helpful.
• Ability to work under deadlines and pressure.
• Administrative record-keeping skills for customer vehicles.
• Polite, courteous, team-oriented with good customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with repair and scheduled maintenance service requests.
• Consult customers on needed scheduled maintenance repairs.
• Review root cause and corrective repair action with customer during vehicle delivery.
• Assist the Service Manager by distributing work to staff and maintaining repair records.
• Promote labor, parts and accessories to meet customer needs.
• Provide written estimates for labor and parts and estimated time of completion to customer.
• Establish method of payment with customer and obtain signature on repair ticket.
• Discuss alternate transportation needs with customer.
• Follow progress of repair work and record changes on repair order.
• Notify customer when service/repair is completed and vehicle is ready for pickup.
• Maintain vehicle history files and follow-up system for additional service, repairs, and warranty work.
• Resolve customer problems and complaints in a timely manner.
• Greet customers in a positive, timely manner.
