Job summary

Red Rock Ford of Dickinson, Inc. is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, assess vehicle needs, and coordinate repairs with technicians. You will explain options, prepare estimates, and manage repair orders while keeping customers informed and satisfied.

In addition to building strong customer relationships, you will target additional maintenance sales, process invoices, and maintain records. Previous Ford dealership experience and a proactive, energetic attitude are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Past experience as a service advisor, or in a similar Ford dealership role.
• Strong customer service mindset with the ability to explain options clearly.
• Good communication skills and a positive, friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage repair orders and schedule service appointments.

• Keep customers informed about service status and delays to ensure satisfaction.

Service Advisor Responsibilities:

• Customer Interaction

  • Greet customers and listen to their service concerns.
  • Explain maintenance and repair options clearly.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates and timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills are required

• Service Coordination

  • Create and manage repair orders.
  • Schedule service appointments.
  • Communicate with technicians about diagnostics and repairs.

• Sales & Recommendations

  • Recommend additional maintenance services when needed.
  • Sales of additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, etc.

• Progress Updates

  • Keep customers informed about service status and delays.
  • Obtain approval for additional repairs if needed.

• Billing & Documentation

  • Prepare invoices and explain charges.
  • Process payments and finalize paperwork.
  • Maintain service records in dealership or shop systems.

• Customer Satisfaction

  • Resolve complaints or service issues.
  • Ensure customers leave satisfied and likely to return.

Service Advisor Requirements:

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant, preferred
• Very energetic personality
• A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization
• Personal and professional integrity
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
