Job summary

Mike Carpino Ford, Inc. is seeking a Service Advisor in Parsons, KS to greet customers, gather vehicle information, and report symptoms to identify needed maintenance.

You will prepare labor and parts estimates, set follow-up times, and monitor progress while keeping customers informed throughout the day. Ideal candidates have Ford dealership experience or a strong background in customer service, with the ability to learn new programs and adapt in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in service department.
• Prior Ford dealership experience is a plus.
• Ability to learn new programs and repair/service procedures.
• Positive, friendly attitude and strong customer focus.
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly.
• Obtain customer and vehicle information.
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer.
• Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage and history of vehicle.
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of labor and parts costs.
• Establish follow up time.
• Monitor progress of each vehicle and update customers.
• Verify final invoice reconciles with the work performed.
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers.

Service Advisor Responsibilities:

• Greet customers promptly
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
• Determine and recommend maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
• Establish follow up time
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers

Service Advisor Requirements:

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant
• Very energetic personality
• A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization
• Personal and professional integrity
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
