Job summary

Sonic Automotive's Poway Honda dealership in Poway, CA is seeking a Service Advisor to schedule service, collect customer and vehicle data, and present accurate cost estimates.

You will greet customers, track repair progress, notify them of changes, obtain proper authorization for additional work, and advise on vehicle maintenance per manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments and collects customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
• Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner.
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts; establishes promised time.
• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day; informs customers of any changes and obtains proper authorization for additional repairs.
• Test-drives the vehicle or refers to the test technician as necessary.
• Maintains Customer Satisfaction Index rating at least comparable to manufacturer, zone or branch average.
• Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles per manufacturers’ specifications.
• Maintains a dealership-prescribed standard for hours per customer repair order written.

Job Description
