Job summary

Howdy Honda in Austin, TX is seeking a Service Advisor to bridge customers and technicians, ensuring repairs and recommendations are clearly understood and approved.

You will prepare repair orders, communicate needs, manage warranty, and keep customers informed about service times and costs. A prior Service Advisor experience and strong communication are required; on-site role with Saturday availability.

Qualifications

• Previous Service Advisor/Service Writer experience.
• Polished and professional demeanor.
• Ability to communicate technical terms to a non-technical audience.
• Create a truly memorable experience for our customers.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.
• Prepare repair orders (RO), obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into service database system.
• Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.
• Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.
• Keep customer informed of service specials, completion times and service expenses.
