Job summary

Lone Star Chevrolet, part of the Sonic Automotive family, is seeking a Service Advisor to join its service team in Houston. You will be the liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring vehicles are diagnosed, serviced, and repaired efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, documenting issues, presenting service options, scheduling, and maintaining detailed service records. Strong communication and organization are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and basic technical understanding.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with service department operations and procedures.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing (background checks, MVR, drug test).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Listen to customers' concerns and document vehicle issues.
• Provide explanations of recommended services and repairs.
• Communicate estimated costs and obtain customer approval.
• Schedule appointments and manage service bay availability.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely repairs.
• Update customers on vehicle status throughout service.
• Create and maintain detailed service records for each customer.
• Prepare and explain invoices with service breakdowns.
• Process payments and handle billing inquiries.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
