Job summary

Lone Star Chevrolet, part of Sonic Automotive, seeks an Automotive Service Technician in Houston, TX to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards.

You will inspect vehicles, carry out repairs (engine, brakes, electrical, HVAC), test drive to verify quality, replace parts, and complete routine maintenance. Must have 2+ years' dealership experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician.
• Previous dealership experience required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA and able to pass pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic issues.
• Perform repairs including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Take vehicles on test drives to verify repairs and functionality.
• Replace or repair components such as spark plugs, filters, brakes, belts, and hoses.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, alignments.
