Job summary

Lloyd Used Car Centre in Carlisle is seeking a Service Advisor/Admin Support to join its team. This hybrid role primarily supports the Service department with additional admin duties across site operations.

The successful candidate will be flexible, well organised and capable of moving between customer-facing service tasks and back-office administration. Salary is £26,000 with a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with customers face-to-face and by phone.
• Flexibility to cover two areas of the business.
• Experience with Kerridge or iLloyd is desirable but not required.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for customers booking in or collecting vehicles from service/workshop.
• Keep customers updated on job progress, including digital/video updates as required.
• Liaise between customers, technicians and parts to keep jobs moving.
• Process service invoices and maintain accurate records.
• Support the service team with day-to-day workflow and scheduling.
• Maintain high standards of customer service throughout the service journey.
• Run vehicles for MOTs, tyre fitting, and other service-related movements as required.
• Order parts for vehicles needing repairs/preparation for sale.
• Submit warranty claims on behalf of customers to the Warranty Provider.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Advisor/Admin Support to join Lloyd Used Car Centre based in Carlisle.

This is a hybrid position primarily supporting the Service department, with additional cover for site administration duties as required. The successful candidate will need to be flexible, well organised, and comfortable moving between customer-facing service tasks and back-office admin support.

Salary: £26,000

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Role And Responsibilities

• Acting as first point of contact for customers booking in or collecting vehicles from service/workshop
• Keeping customers updated on job progress, including any digital/video updates as required
• Liaising between customers, technicians and parts to keep jobs moving efficiently
• Processing service invoices and ensuring accurate records are maintained
• Supporting the service team with day-to-day workflow and scheduling
• Maintaining high standards of customer service throughout the service journey
• Running vehicles for MOTs, tyre fitting, pick-ups and other service-related movements as required
• Ordering of parts for vehicles needing repairs/preparation for sale
• Submission of Warranty claims on behalf of customers to the Warranty Provider

The ideal candidate will hold the following skills and experiences:

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with customers face-to-face and by phone
• Able to work flexibly across two areas of the business
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office / general IT systems
• A team player willing to learn and adapt
• Previous experience within a dealership or automotive environment is desirable but not required
• Experience with Kerridge and iLloyd is desirable but not required
• Full UK driving licence
