Job summary

Stott's Ford in Tryon, NC is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, listen to their needs, and schedule maintenance appointments. You will obtain customer and vehicle information and clearly report vehicle symptoms.

You will prepare labor and parts estimates, monitor progress, explain completed work to customers, and strive for exceptional customer satisfaction. We value integrity, energy, and a long-term commitment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience at any dealership is a plus.
• Knowledge of automobiles a plus but not required.
• Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Past experience as a service advisor is a plus but not required. We hire people over experience and titles.
• Very energetic personality.
• A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization.
• Personal and professional integrity.
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
• Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage and history of vehicle
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
• Establish follow up time
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers
