Job summary

Thoroughbred Ford of Platte City, Inc. is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, listen to their needs, and schedule appointments. You will verify insurance for maintenance, set up loaner cars, and clearly explain repairs and charges.

The role emphasizes customer satisfaction, accurate estimating, and timely updates to clients. A history with Ford or automotive service is a plus, and a long‑term career with a growing dealership is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
• Determine and recommend maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
• Establish follow up time
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers

Service Advisor Responsibilities:

• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
