Suburban CDJR of Troy is seeking an experienced Service Writer to join our busy service department. You will initiate service orders, verify warranties, and communicate clearly with customers and technicians.

This role emphasizes accuracy in estimates, keeping customers informed on status and costs, and building lasting relationships through proactive service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service Writer or Service Advisor.
• Background as an automotive technician is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of automotive systems and repair terminology.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Initiate service and repair orders based on customer concerns and vehicle performance.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage.
• Build accurate repair estimates including labor, parts, and deductibles.
• Communicate service needs clearly to both customers and technicians.
• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process—status, costs, and service timelines.
• Administer manufacturer warranties for eligible repairs.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date customer records.
• Promote current service specials and build long-term customer relationships.

What You'll Do
