Walstrom Marine, Inc. in Traverse City, MI, is seeking a Service Advisor to join our marine team. This role offers a great path for professional growth and hands-on experience in a thriving boating environment.

You will act as the first point of contact for customers, manage service requests and scheduling, and collaborate with technicians to ensure clear work orders and timely updates. This is a full-time on-site position with strong benefits and opportunities to learn.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in a customer-facing service, scheduling, or admin role; marine or dealership experience preferred.
• Familiarity with marine service, boating terminology, or marine systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as front-line point of contact for service requests, estimates, and scheduling.
• Communicate service needs, timelines, and updates professionally to customers.
• Write and organize work orders, documenting service details and requests.
• Coordinate with technicians to clarify work and provide timely updates.
• Follow up on status, parts delays, or timeline changes with customers.
• Maintain daily calendar, technician availability, and scheduling needs.
• Update service records and logs, and assist with storage accounts as needed.
• Support parts by assisting with technician parts requests and walk-ins.
• Coordinate with Accounts Receivable to identify completed jobs for invoicing.

What We’re Looking For:

Walstrom Marine is looking for a Service Advisor to join our Traverse City team! This is a great opportunity to build a rewarding career in the marine industry with a company dedicated to your professional growth.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as a front-line point of contact for customers regarding service requests, estimates, and scheduling.
• Communicate professionally with customers about their boat's service needs, timelines, and updates.
• Assist with writing and organizing work orders, accurately documenting service details and customer requests.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure clarity of work assignments and timely updates.
• Follow up with customers to communicate service status, parts delays, or changes to timelines.
• Help manage the department's daily calendar, technician availability, and customer scheduling needs.
• Assist in maintaining accurate service records and updating system logs and storage accounts as needed.
• Support the parts department by helping with technician parts requests and occasional walk-in customers.
• Coordinate with Accounts Receivable to identify completed jobs ready for invoicing or closure.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in a customer facing service, scheduling, or administrative support role; marine or dealership experience preferred.
• Familiarity with marine service, boating terminology, or marine systems is a plus.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
