Job summary

Walstrom Marine, Inc. in Traverse City, MI, seeks a Boat Detailer to join our on-site team. No detailing experience required; we train the right applicant with a strong work ethic to achieve like-new condition across boats.

You will wash, wax, polish and restore boats, detail interiors and exteriors, and provide dockside services as needed. This full-time, 8-hour shift position offers year-round employment and benefits.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Experience with detailing or in a Marine environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of detailing duties including washing, waxing, polishing, and restoring boats to like-new condition.
• Detail all areas of the boat including exterior surfaces, engine compartments, bilges, upholstery, heads, and cabins.
• Ensure a boat's interior and exterior meet high cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Provide detailing services that meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and satisfaction.
• Provide dockside detailing services as needed.
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.

What We’re Looking For:

Walstrom Marine is looking for a Boat Detailer to join our Traverse City team! While detailing experience is a plus, we are happy to train individuals with a strong work ethic and the right skill set.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide variety of detailing duties including washing, waxing, polishing, and restoring boats to like-new condition.
• Detail all areas of the boat including exterior surfaces, engine compartments, bilges, upholstery, heads, and cabins.
• Ensure a boat's interior and exterior meet high cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Provide detailing services that meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and satisfaction.
• Provide dockside detailing services as needed.
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, Saturday availability required during summer months
