Job summary

Prestige Toyota of Ramsey in Ramsey, NJ is hiring an Automotive Service Advisor to join our service team. This on-site role requires open availability including Saturdays, with earnings potential between $75,000 and $150,000 per year.

You will collaborate with technicians, prepare repair orders, communicate with customers, and develop accurate estimates while ensuring warranty coverage and service contracts are applied.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Advisor preferred.
• 3+ years as automotive technician preferred.
• Valid driver's license in your state

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between customer and technician; clarify needs and explain repairs.
• Develop estimates by costing parts, supplies and labor; calculate payments including deductibles.
• Prepare repair orders and enter them in the service database; communicate additional needs to customers.
• Administer manufacturer warranty for qualifying repairs; keep customers informed of service times and costs.

You will make sure vehicle performance problems and service requests, verifying warranty and service contract coverage, and developing estimates. Additionally, you will write repair orders and maintain customer records.Be the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensure the technician understands the customer's needs and the customer understands the needed and recommended service/repairs.Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculate customer's payment, including deductibles.Prepare repair orders (RO), obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into service database system.Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.Keep customer informed of service specials, completion times and service expenses.Qualifications:Previous Service Advisor experience, preferrable.3+ years experience as an automotive technician preferrable.A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile.Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residenceEst. Annual Earnings ranges from $75,000.00-$150,000.00This is a performance driven position, eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, which includes Commission(s) off: Individual Sales, Individual Gross profit.
