Job summary

Sahara Chrysler Dodge Ram is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to drive automotive service requests and communication between customers and technicians. You will develop estimates, authorize RO entries, and maintain accurate customer records.

The ideal candidate has prior service-advisor experience, a basic mechanical understanding, and a valid driver's license. A teamwork-focused attitude and exceptional customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous Service Advisor experience preferred.
• Prior experience as automotive technician a plus.
• Team player focused on providing exemplary customer service.
• Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile.
• Valid driver’s license in your state of residence

Responsibilities

• Initiate automotive services by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verify warranty coverage; develop estimates; write repair orders; maintain customer records.
• Serve as the communicator between the customer and technician; ensure needs are understood by the technician and the customer.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies and labor; calculate customer payment including deductibles.
• Prepare repair orders (RO) with approvals and enter RO into the service database system.
• Communicate additional repair needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.
• Administer manufacturer warranty for qualifying repairs.
• Keep customer informed of service specials, completion times and expenses.

What you’ll do:

As a Service Advisor you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer records.

• Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.

• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer’s payment, including deductibles.

• Prepare repair orders (RO), obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into service database system.

• Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.

• Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.

• Keeping customer informed ofservice specials, completion times and service expenses.
