Job summary

Chris's Car Care in Michigan City, IN is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to confidently guide customers, present repairs, and manage repair orders from start to finish.

Entry-level candidates may train up through parts, communication, scheduling, and shop workflow to grow into a full Service Advisor role. Monday–Friday schedule; competitive pay and ongoing training are offered.

Chris's Car Care is growing, and we're looking for the right person to join our front-of-house team.

Ideally, we're looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor who can confidently take care of customers, present recommended repairs, and manage repair orders from start to finish.

But we also know great Service Advisors aren't always found - sometimes they're developed.

If you have automotive experience, strong people skills, and the drive to learn, we're willing to train the right person. An entry-level candidate may start by assisting with parts, customer communication, scheduling, and shop workflow, then grow into a full Service Advisor role.

What You'll Do

Your responsibilities will depend on your experience and may include:

• Answering phones and scheduling appointments

• Presenting recommended repairs clearly and confidently
• Obtaining customer authorization
• Ordering, receiving, and managing parts
• Communicating with vendors and tracking parts
• Coordinating workflow with technicians and the front counter
• Following up on declined services and recommended repairs
• Making sure every customer receives a great experience from start to finish

Experienced Service Advisors should be comfortable stepping directly into customer management and sales responsibilities.

Candidates with less experience will begin with responsibilities that match their skill level and receive training as they progress toward becoming a full Service Advisor.
