Responsibilities

• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explain provisions and exclusions
• Ascertain automotive problems by listening to customer descriptions of symptoms
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies and labor, calculating customer payment including deductibles
• Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered; obtain approvals; enter RO into service database
• Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtain approvals; provide contact numbers; answer questions
• Maintain automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; read manufacturers publications
• Enhance organization reputation by taking ownership of requests; explore opportunities to add value

Duties:

• Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers, explaining provisions and exclusions.
• Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer’s description of symptoms
• Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, calculating customer’s payment, including deductibles.
• Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and servicesrequired; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.
• Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer’s approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation.
• Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
• Updates job knowledge byparticipatingin educational opportunities; reading manufacturers’ publications.
• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership foraccomplishingnew and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplish

Qualifications and Skills:

• 1 year manufacturer experience preferred but not required

• Strong telephone/computerskills with the ability to provide customers with product information, schedule appointments, and handle their automotive service needs

• Prior experience working with Xtime and Automate is a plus
