Job summary

Bob Bell Automotive in Bel Air, Maryland seeks a detail-oriented Service Advisor to greet customers, gather vehicle information, and schedule maintenance. You will prepare estimates, track progress, and keep customers informed throughout the day.

Ideal candidates have Ford dealership exposure or CDK experience, strong customer service skills, and a proactive, energetic approach to building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year in service department or similar role.
• Knowledge of automobiles.
• Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant.
• Energetic personality with integrity and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly.
• Obtain customer and vehicle information.
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer.
• Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage and history.
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts.
• Establish follow up time.
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently.
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order.
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers.

Service Advisor Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
• CDK computer experience a HUGE plus.
• Ability to identify the problem quickly

• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant
• Very energetic personality
• A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization

• Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
