Job summary

Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor at our Altoona, PA location. You will greet customers, gather vehicle data, and document concerns to help technicians diagnose repairs.

Role requires strong communication and a customer-focused approach, with emphasis on CSI and building relationships for ongoing maintenance and future visits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 10+ years experience as a service advisor; dealership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and independent task management.
• Personable, friendly personality with good customer interaction.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical/service operations preferred.
• Reynolds and Reynolds or xTime experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with service needs and questions.
• Obtain and update vehicle and customer data.
• Document concerns and walk-around to aid diagnosis.
• Set repair timelines and keep customers updated on progress.
• Communicate via telephone, email, or text.
• Suggest additional work and obtain customer signatures.
• Advise on maintenance value and future services.
• Build rapport to maintain CSI; schedule future maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist them with their service needs and questions


• Obtain and update necessary vehicle and customer data


• Perform vehicle walk-around and documentation of customer concerns to set up the technician to properly diagnose the vehicle and repairs


• Establish a timeline of repair and keep the customer up to date on progress.


• Communicate with the customer via telephone, email, and/or text message.


• Disclose additional work needed or recommended services and obtain customer signature for those repairs


• Advise customer about the value of car maintenance and review future recommended services


• Build relationship and rapport with the customer to maintain CSI rating


• Schedule future maintenance appointments

• Ability to communicate with customers and manage other tasks independently
