Job summary

Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships in Altoona, PA is hiring entry level to master automotive technicians at Blaise Alexander Hyundai Chevrolet of Altoona. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles and participate in state inspections while ensuring quality service.

Qualifications

• PA State Inspection Certification is required.
• Ability to service many makes and models with safety awareness.
• Candidate must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Perform emissions and safety inspections as required by state law.
• Complete brakes, suspension, tires, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Communicate repair recommendations clearly to service team.
• Keep accurate service records and maintain a clean workspace.

A Day in the Life of an Automotive Technician (but not limited to):

• Diagnosis and repair and accurately perform all repairs and maintenance
• Execute emissions inspections, safety checks, and similar state-regulated vehicle examinations
• Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and all manner of automotive repairs, that you are tasked and qualified to perform.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with the group leader and service advisor on recommended repairs and maintenance
• Preserve vehicle records by recording all services and repairs performed and recommended
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment

Qualifications

• PA State Inspection Certification Required
• Comfortability with all makes and models of vehicles
• Valid Driver’s License
• Time Management and the ability to work independently
• Physical demands include lifting 50+lbs with an extended period of time standing, sitting, and kneeling throughout the workday
