Job summary

Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships in Altoona, PA is seeking entry level to master Automotive Technicians to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles. You will work in a team to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction, with opportunities for career growth and training.

The role offers full-time hours and a benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays and PTO, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and relocation assistance on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications

• PA State Inspection Certification is required.
• Comfortable working with all makes and models of vehicles.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Strong time management and ability to work independently.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles and perform maintenance per standards.
• Perform emissions inspections, safety checks and state-regulated inspections.
• Carry out brakes, suspension, tires, and routine maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Communicate clearly with service lead and advisor on repairs and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate service records and keep a clean, safe workspace.

A Day in the Life of an Automotive Technician (but not limited to):

• Diagnosis and repair and accurately perform all repairs and maintenance
• Execute emissions inspections, safety checks, and similar state-regulated vehicle examinations
• Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and all manner of automotive repairs, that you are tasked and qualified to perform.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with the group leader and service advisor on recommended repairs and maintenance
• Preserve vehicle records by recording all services and repairs performed and recommended
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment
