Job summary

TOAST Temecula is seeking servers who are passionate about guest experience in a fast-paced breakfast/brunch setting. We craft made-from-scratch dishes, local coffees, teas, craft beer and unique cocktails in a fun, high-energy atmosphere.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of serving experience in a sit-down restaurant, are fluent in English, customer-focused, and reliable. Flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and a polished appearance are required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of serving experience in a sit-down restaurant.
• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• Must be able to obtain Responsible Beverage Service certificate.
• Must speak fluent English and demonstrate excellent verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Creates an upbeat, positive and fun guest experience.
• Helps guests select food and beverages by presenting menu and suggesting courses.
• Communicates orders to bar and kitchen and notes dietary needs.
• Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
• Serves orders and delivers accompaniments and condiments to guests.
• Responds to guest needs and inquiries throughout service.
• Maintains table settings and replenishes utensils and water glasses.
• Concludes guest experience by inviting guests to return.

We pride ourselves on taking a fun and adventurous approach in the breakfast world by creating made-from-scratch dishes and offering local coffees & teas, craft beer and unique cocktails. SERVER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates an upbeat, positive and fun guest experience
  
• Helps guests select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails, beer, wines, specialty coffees; suggesting courses; answering food preparation questions
  
• Communicates orders to bar and kitchen by recording guests’ choices, identifying guests' special dietary needs and special requests
  
• Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
  
• Serves orders by picking up and delivering guests' choices from bar and kitchen; delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars
  
• Responds to additional guest requirements by inquiring of needs, observing guest process
  
• Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to other special needs
  
• Concludes guest experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant, inviting guests to return
  
• Protects restaurant and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
  
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed
  
• Perform additional tasks to support overall success of restaurant
  

SERVER REQUIREMENTS

• MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGETO APPLY
  
• Must be able to obtain Responsible Beverage Service Certificate
  
• Must have at least 2 Years of Serving Experience in a sit-down restaurant
  
• Must be Customer Focused and Portray Customer Focused Attitude
  
• Must always display High Level of Respect while serving guests
  
• Always keeping a positive and upbeat attitude
  
• Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
  
• Must speak fluent English; Excellent verbal communication
  
• Works well and efficiently under pressure
  
• Flexibility and willing to work shifts including nights, weekends, holidays and split shifts
  
• Reliability and Punctuality is a must
  
• Takes pride in professional appearance
  

Activities include, but are not limited to, walking, or standing for 6 to 8 hours at a time, reaching, stooping, lifting or carrying 25 or more pounds, carrying, talking, sitting, able to wipe down bar, tabletops, chairs, and booths; able to pick up debris from floor; able to push vacuum or mop.
