Job summary

The Friendly Toast in Andover, MA is seeking friendly servers for our fast-paced all-day brunch and bar concept. You’ll learn our scratch-made menu, manage several tables, and confidently ring orders while engaging guests with a warm, efficient service style.

Requirements include prior serving experience, excellent communication, 18+ years old, and weekend availability. We offer 401(k), health/dental benefits, PTO, flexible scheduling, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server required.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Saturday and Sunday day Availability.

Responsibilities

• Pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better.
• Serve three to four tables, as determined by management.
• Have complete knowledge of The Friendly Toast’s food and beverage preparation.
• Ability to sell alcohol and food items.
• Able to use a computer to ring orders on a check.
• Able to interact with guests in a friendly/fast manner.
• Able to accept different types of payment and make change.
• Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
• Ability to clear and reset tables.

Major Responsibilities

• If consuming alcoholic beverages, observe guest’s behavior, count number of drinks served, and if the server feels they should not drive, offer a taxi. Do not hesitate to ask a manager to intervene.
• All guests must be treated in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed guests’ expectations.
• Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.

Working Conditions

• Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
• Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operating phones and computers.
