Job summary

Orion Consortium is seeking a senior Systems Administrator in Anchorage, AK, for design and support of enterprise computer systems. The role requires TS/SCI with a Full Scope Poly, and a strong background in system architecture, networks, and security.

The candidate will manage workflows, perform installations and upgrades, monitor performance, and back up data while ensuring compliance with standards. Experience coaching teammates is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining complex computer systems.
• Strong understanding of networks, hardware, and software configurations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.

Responsibilities

• Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
• Maintains system workflows and upkeep of hardware/software.
• Provide technical support for networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
• Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues.
• Trains end users on proper use of hardware and software.
• Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and packages.
• Monitors and tunes systems for optimum performance.
• Ensures data integrity and backups; supports data recovery operations.
• Conducts hardware and software audits to ensure standards compliance.
• Ensures system security and performance for network users.
• May evaluate existing systems and assist with long-term planning.
• May coach less-experienced professionals.
