Job summary

AEITS, Inc, a GTSC Company, is seeking a Server Systems Engineer Level 2 in Anchorage, Alaska. All work is on-site in a SCIF environment, not hybrid or remote.

Position requires Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph, and experience in systems administration and architecture to design, manage, and secure complex computer systems and networks. Compensation ranges from $117,000 to $126,800 annually.

Qualifications

• Systems Administration experience required.
• Systems Architecture experience required.

Responsibilities

• Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
• Maintains workflows and is responsible for upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues and updating equipment and software.
• Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations and architectures.
• Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues.
• Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
• Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
• Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance.
• Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.
• Ensures data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
• Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure computers meet the needs of network users.
• May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies.
• May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
