Job summary

Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa is seeking a Server who embodies warmth and attentiveness to deliver personalized service in a fast-paced, upscale hotel setting. You will greet guests, present menus, and facilitate a seamless dining experience while maintaining knowledge of beverage offerings and wine service.

You will join a team that values professionalism, flexibility and a strong guest-first approach, with opportunities to grow within Omni’s historic resort environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year serving experience in high-volume or upscale hotel/restaurant environment.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Unexpired Food Handlers & RAMP upon hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests, anticipate needs, respond to inquiries.
• Provide outstanding service following steps of service.
• Maintain familiarity with menus and beverage offerings, including wine service.
• Set up and breakdown station; perform side-work.
• Polish and clean water glassware on station.
• Take orders and upsell menu items.
• Address guests by surname when available; maintain friendly demeanor.
• Enter orders using MICROS systems.
• Coordinate with culinary team for dietary needs and special requests.
• Escalate guest suggestions, complaints, or issues to the Restaurant Manager.
• Present checks and process payments.
• Assist in seating guests and answering restaurant phones.
• Crosstrain across other F&B outlets as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs, and respond to guest inquiries or requests.
• Provide outstanding service to members and guests in a friendly and professional manner, following proper steps of service.
• Must maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings, including wine service.
• Complete station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
• Polish and clean all water glassware on assigned station during each shift.
• Take food and beverage orders and upsell as often as possible.
• Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests using surnames when obtained.
• Send orders using MICROS systems.
• Communicate with the culinary team regarding meal requirements, allegories, dietary needs, and special requests.
• Alert Restaurant Manager immediately if a guest has a suggestion, complaint or issue.
• Present accurate check to guests and process payment.
• Assist in seating guests and answering phones for the restaurant as needed.
• Crosstrain among other food and beverage outlets as needed.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the restaurant manager.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of serving experience, preferably in high volume and casual environment or part of an upscale hotel restaurant outlet.
• Must adhere and agree to compensation acknowledgement and tip reporting guidelines.
• Must have knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Must have unexpired Food Handlers & RAMP obtained upon hire.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, place, and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs.
