Job summary

Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia is seeking a Food & Beverage Server to deliver warm, attentive service and guide guests through menu and beverage options. You will work in a fast-paced resort setting, uphold brand standards, and contribute to memorable guest experiences across the restaurant and related outlets.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year serving experience in upscale hotel restaurants, solid wine knowledge, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year serving experience in high-volume or upscale hotel restaurant.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Unexpired Food Handlers Certification upon hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and anticipate needs; respond to inquiries.
• Provide outstanding service following steps of service.
• Maintain menus and beverage knowledge, including wine service.
• Set up and breakdown station; perform side-work.

Food & Beverage Server

Overview:

As a Server, you will embody the spirit of warmth and attentiveness, ensuring every guest enjoys seamless and personalized service. Whether recommending menu items or creating a welcoming atmosphere, you will contribute to the high standards and reputation of Omni Hotel & Resorts. Responsibilities:

• Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs, and respond to guest inquiries or requests.
• Provide outstanding service to members and guests in a friendly and professional manner, following proper steps of service.
• Must maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings, including wine service.
• Complete station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
• Polish and clean all water glassware on assigned station during each shift.
• Take food and beverage orders and upsell as often as possible.
• Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests using surnames when obtained.
• Send orders using MICROS systems.
• Communicate with the culinary team regarding meal requirements, allegories, dietary needs, and special requests.
• Alert Restaurant Manager immediately if a guest has a suggestion, complaint or issue.
• Present accurate check to guests and process payment.
• Assist in seating guests and answering phones for the restaurant as needed.
• Crosstrain among other food and beverage outlets as needed.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the restaurant manager.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of serving experience, preferably in high volume and casual environment or part of an upscale hotel restaurant outlet.
• Must adhere and agree to compensation acknowledgement and tip reporting guidelines.
• Must have knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Must have unexpired Food Handlers obtained upon hire.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, place, and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs.
