Akkodis is seeking a Server Patching / Infrastructure Operations for a Contract job with a client in Plano TX/ Jersey City NJ/ Charlotte NC(Hybrid). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry.

Rate Range: $25-30/Hr; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Position Overview

We are seeking a solid, hands-on Systems Administrator to join a 24x7 global infrastructure operations team supporting a high-visibility enterprise environment. In this role, you will be key to managing day-to-day operations, executing risk mitigation initiatives (including Mythos risk mitigation), and ensuring system stability through robust patching and change management processes.

The ideal candidate brings strong foundational system administration skills and a track record of executing enterprise patching in regulated environments. While familiarity with specific tools like BladeLogic, Ansible, or Tanium is helpful, the hiring team prioritizes strong sysadmin fundamentals, operational discipline, and clear communication—offering direct manager-led onboarding and tool training.

Key Responsibilities

• Enterprise Operations & Maintenance: Perform day-to-day system administration, operational health checks, routine maintenance, and incident resolution across enterprise infrastructure.
• Patch Management: Lead and execute system patching, updates, and vulnerability remediations in support of critical risk mitigation projects.
• Change Management Execution: Prepare, submit, and execute production changes following strict Change Advisory Board (CAB) protocols, rollback plans, and maintenance window guidelines.
• Global Collaboration & Client Communication: Partner daily with cross-functional peer teams, external/internal clients, and international engineers across a 24x7 operational model.
• On-Call & Weekend Rotation: Participate in an on-call rotation once every 6 weeks, including 1 full weekend (Saturday & Sunday) scheduled coverage.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Core Systems Administration: Proven hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator managing OS-level operations, troubleshooting, and infrastructure health.
• Vast Patching Experience: Heavy, direct experience planning and executing enterprise system patching and post-patch verification.
• Change Management Fluency: Strong familiarity with formal Change Management workflows, ITIL processes, maintenance windows, and risk assessments.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with global teams, stakeholders, and technical peers.
