North Beach Village Resort in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Part Time server to provide friendly food and beverage service at Village Cafe. The role requires basic cash handling and strong guest relations abilities to ensure a positive dining experience.

The position supports busy operations, including coordinating with kitchen and bar, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere on weekends and holidays. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate with the public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner.
• Knowledge of surrounding areas and local events.
• Ability to understand and adhere to proper credit, and cash handling policies and procedures.
• Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.
• Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience.
• Hands-on experience in cashier duties.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety.
• Patience and customer-oriented approach.
• Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude.
• Responsible and trustworthy.
• High school diploma is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

• Prepares room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
• Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Helps patrons select food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the chefs specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions.
• Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons choices and identifying patrons special dietary needs and special requests.
• Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting the timing of meal progression.
• Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons choices from bar and kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars.
• Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing the dining process.
• Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
• Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant and inviting patrons to return.
• Other duties may be assigned by the department head.
