Job summary

North Beach Village Resort in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a friendly bar and grill server to greet guests, take orders, serve beverages and meals, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

You will check IDs, handle payments, restock and clean the bar area, and collaborate with kitchen and other staff to ensure timely service while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to upsell beverages and food.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety policies.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves patrons with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner.
• Provides information to help food and beverage selections.
• Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
• Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
• Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked.
• Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Keep glasses, bar equipment, and working areas clean
• Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons choices and identifying patrons special dietary needs and special requests.
• Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting the timing of meal progression.
• Other duties may be assigned by the department head.
