Job summary

The Arkansas Department of Transportation is hiring an IT Server Administrator to support day-to-day server and cloud-based solutions, ensuring issues are understood, documented, forecasted, and resolved in line with internal policies.

You will manage servers, assist in deploying solutions, monitor systems, document procedures, perform backups, respond to outages, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, DHCP, DNS, and virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Manage servers and operating systems and software.
• Assist in building and deploying server and cloud-based technology solutions.
• Identify areas to automate and develop solutions to streamline routine tasks.
• Monitor and analyze alerts from enterprise systems and remediate issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Administer end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Perform system backups and restores.
• Respond to after-hours outages and incidents.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Lead or participate in project meetings for complex deployments.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures.
• Research and recommend enterprise products per regulations and standards.
• Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans and respond to emergencies.
