Job summary

The IT Infrastructure Analyst at the Department of Agriculture is tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining Arkansas' IT infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security across servers, networks, and storage systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in information technology infrastructure or related roles, such as systems or network administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
• Monitor system performance and ensure uptime, availability, and optimal functioning of infrastructure components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime.
• Evaluate existing infrastructure and recommend upgrades or improvements to support growth and efficiency.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect infrastructure from vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
• Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and changes to ensure accurate records.
• Support disaster recovery and backup strategies to safeguard data integrity.
• Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and personnel on infrastructure-related projects and initiatives.
• Research emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the agency’s infrastructure.
• Provide support and training to end-users and junior IT personnel as necessary.
