Job summary

Acme Hospitality is seeking a friendly server/barista to deliver efficient service in our quick-service restaurant. You will take orders, process payments, and deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner while maintaining a positive guest experience.

You will explain menu items, accommodate dietary requests, upsell select items, and collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure accuracy and quality.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience as a Server/Barista in a restaurant.
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage menus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math.
• Proficiency in health, safety and sanitation practices.
• Flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, escort to tables and present menus.
• Explain menu items, specials and ingredients.
• Assist guests with recommendations based on preferences and dietary needs.
• Take accurate orders using POS and communicate with kitchen and bar staff.
• Ensure special requests/allergies are relayed to kitchen.
• Serve food and drinks promptly with proper presentation.
• Monitor tables and replenish drinks, utensils and condiments as needed.
• Prepare and serve specialty drinks and scoops of ice cream.
• Handle guest inquiries courteously and accurately.
• Upsell appetizers, desserts, or premium beverages.
• Process guest payments including cash and card transactions.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar for smooth service flow.
• Maintain a clean dining area and adhere to health regulations.
