Job summary

The Elysian Bar Restaurant, located within the historic Hotel Peter and Paul, is seeking a dedicated Server Assistant to support our waitstaff and ensure smooth dining experiences. You will set up tables, assist with service, clear tables, and help maintain a clean dining environment in a prestigious hotel setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating with kitchen and bar staff, refilling beverages, and upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Set up tables with linens, silverware, and glassware according to established standards.
• Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately.
• Clear tables efficiently, removing used utensils, plates, and glassware to maintain a clean dining environment.
• Refill water glasses and assist with refilling beverages as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders to guests.
• Provide friendly and attentive service to guests, anticipating their needs and responding promptly to requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Hourly Rate: $8.00 per hour, plus tip pool participation

All employees are paid weekly

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays is expected around business levels, key team milestones, events, or employee relations matters. Ability to lift, stand, walk, for extended periods of time and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
