Lore Group's Riggs Washington DC location is hiring a Server Assistant to support service teams in a busy dining room. You will set, clear and reset tables, refill water, and assist with food running while maintaining a clean, organized space.

We value a warm, welcoming personality and strong teamwork. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required; dedication to high service standards is essential in a fast-paced hotel dining environment.

Job description

Riggs Washington DC sits on the iconic downtown corner of Penn Quarter's 9th and F Street in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. Each of the Hotel's 181 guest rooms offers a playful nod to the building's legacy. Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan - a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan.

Server Assistant Essential Functions

• Support servers and bartenders during service to ensure a smooth and efficient flow
• Set, clear, and reset tables according to service standards
• Refill water and other table necessities as needed
• Assist with food running and table maintenance when required
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service stations
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally
• Communicate effectively with the front‑of‑house and kitchen teams

This position requires the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required

Compensation

$10.30 per hour plus tips
