Job summary

Riggs Washington DC is seeking a Server Assistant to support servers and bartenders, set and reset tables, and ensure efficient service in a fast-paced hotel restaurant environment.

Candidates should be friendly, customer-focused and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required, with strong teamwork and calm under pressure as essential traits.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required.
• Hotel experience is not required — a warm, welcoming personality is a must.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support servers and bartenders during service to ensure a smooth and efficient flow.
• Set, clear, and reset tables according to service standards.
• Refill water and other table necessities as needed.
• Assist with food running and table maintenance when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service stations.
