Job summary

Arrow Senior Living in Mentor, OH is hiring a Part-Time Server to welcome residents with warmth and care. You’ll help seat guests, assist during meals, and ensure a pleasant dining room experience for every resident.

We value reliability, energy, and teamwork. This role requires standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Shift: Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday from 4:00pm to 7:30pm, with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• You must be at least sixteen (16) years old.
• Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at least at 8th-grade level.
• Positive, energetic attitude toward residents.
• Active; standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
• Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, including after a fall.
• Criminal background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and make them feel welcome in the dining room.
• Be present in dining service, mingle, entertain, and foster resident connections.
• Prepare tables and service areas to support meal service.
• Communicate needs and observations to supervisors and Wellness.

• Be an “Appetite Anthropologist:” Communicate with supervisors and Wellness

when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.

What are we looking for?

• You must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
• You can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency with our Residents!
• You will have a positive and energetic attitude who will LOVE our Residents!
• You must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• You must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• You must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
• You must be criminally cleared.
