Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida in Winter Park, FL is seeking a Part-Time Server for the Dining Services Department. You will provide exemplary service of food and beverages to residents and guests in a senior dining setting, reporting to the Food and Beverage Director.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, ServSafe certification (or within 90 days), and experience in high-volume dining. Strong English communication with older adults is essential.

• ServSafe certification is required or obtainable within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in a high-volume full-service dining environment is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; clear verbal and written communication with residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform table service and excellent customer relations based on established standards.
• Serve residents and guests in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.
• Assist residents with dining needs while maintaining a pleasant dining atmosphere.
• Complete light cleaning and stocking duties as directed by the supervisor.
• Ensure that residents have a positive and enjoyable dining experience.

We are currently searching for aServer to work in theDining Services Department. In this role, the Server provide exemplary service of food and beverages to older adult residents and guests in a senior dining setting. T his position reports to the Food and Beverage Director.

Schedule: Part Time position | Weekdays & weekends availability

Essential job functions:
1. Perform table service and excellent customer relations based on established serving standards and guidelines.
2. Perform table service in a friendly, caring, professional and timely manner.
3. Serve the resident’s meal according to meal ticket.
4. Assist resident with all dining needs while performing table service.
5. Perform light cleaning and stocking duties as assigned by the supervisor.
6. Ensure that all residents being served have a pleasant and delightful dining experience.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Students working towards a High School Diploma are eligible for this position)
• Serv Safe certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.

Experience:

• Full understanding of food service methods in a high volume full service dining environment.

Required skills:

• Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with older adults in a dining setting.
