Job summary

Baker's Crust in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a friendly server to take and deliver orders, greet guests, and keep service areas clean. You will input orders into the POS, verify accuracy, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.

The role requires knowledge of our food and beverage offerings, including wine, beer, liquor, and non-alcoholic drinks, and compliance with liquor policies. Pre- and post-shift side work is expected as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Service of food and/or beverage, including taking orders, input into POS, and delivering to guests
• Checks and maintains all service areas before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
• Greets guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explains specials/promotions
• Knowledgeable about our food, wine, beer, liquor and non-alcoholic beverages
• Retrieves orders from kitchen, confirms accuracy, and delivers to guests
• Ensures guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Follows state and federal regulations and liquor policies for serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests
• Performs all pre-shift and post-shift side work

Job description

• Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items
• Checks and maintains all service areas before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
• Greets the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explains any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness
• Knowledgeable of our food, wine, beer, liquor and non-alcoholic beverages
• Takes the order and inputs the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars of the order
• Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy and delivers it to guests
• Ascertain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Abides by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
• Performs all pre-shift and post-shift side work
