Job summary

Baker's Crust in Virginia Beach is seeking a friendly, attentive server to provide first-rate food and beverage service. You will take orders, input them into the POS, deliver meals, and ensure accuracy and guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.

Knowledge of food, wine, beer, liquor and non-alcoholic beverages is preferred, as you will explain specials and promotions while maintaining clean service areas before, during, and after shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience serving food and beverages and handling order delivery.

• Knowledge of beverages including wine, beer, liquor, and non-alcoholic drinks.

Responsibilities

• Take orders and input into POS to inform kitchen.
• Retrieve orders from kitchen, verify accuracy, and deliver to guests.
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
• Maintain clean and organized service areas before, during, and after shifts.
• Adhere to state and federal regulations and liquor policies for serving alcohol to minors or intoxicated guests.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift side work.

Job description

• Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items
• Checks and maintains all service areas before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
• Greets the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explains any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness
• Knowledgeable of our food, wine, beer, liquor and non-alcoholic beverages
• Takes the order and inputs the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars of the order
• Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy and delivers it to guests
• Ascertain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Abides by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
• Performs all pre-shift and post-shift side work
