What You\'ll Do
As a Dining Server, you will help provide residents with a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable dining experience.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and beverages to residents in a safe and sanitary manner
- Help create a pleasant and welcoming dining experience for every resident
- Set tables and prepare the dining room for daily meal service
- Pour and serve beverages
- Clear tables and clean dining areas following meals
- Assist with maintaining an attractive, clean, and organized dining environment
- Be attentive to residents\' individual needs and preferences
- Provide service with patience, kindness, and respect
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures
- Practice proper handwashing and safe food-handling techniques
- Safely operate, clean, and sanitize dining and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleaning schedules and complete routine cleaning as assigned
- Receive and properly store food and dining supplies
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow proper procedures during power outages or other situations when normal equipment is unavailable
- Work collaboratively with the Dining Services Director and other members of the dining team
- Communicate resident needs or concerns to the appropriate team member
- Follow all company, community, health, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Protect resident privacy and confidentiality
- Recognize and report concerns related to resident safety, abuse, neglect, or mistreatment
- Participate in required training, emergency drills, and safety activities
- Assist with emergency procedures and resident evacuation when necessary
- Maintain reliable attendance and arrive ready to work at your scheduled time
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dining Services Director

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, customer service, dining, healthcare, or senior living experience is a plus
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be comfortable working with older adults, including residents who may have physical, cognitive, or behavioral challenges
- Must be dependable and able to work assigned shifts
- Must successfully complete required training and competency programs
- Must comply with applicable food safety, health, and workplace requirements

Physical Requirements
This is an active position and requires the ability to:
- Stand and move throughout the workday
- Bend, reach, push, and pull as needed
- Lift, push, pull, move, and/or carry up to 25 pounds as required
- Safely handle dining supplies and equipment
- Perform dining room set-up and clean-up
- Work safely around food service equipment and cleaning products
- Assist with emergency evacuation procedures when necessary
