The Server is responsible for providing exceptional dining service to residents and guests in a courteous, professional, and respectful manner. This position assists with meal service, resident satisfaction, dining room cleanliness, and creating a welcoming dining experience that supports residents' quality of life.
Greet residents and guests warmly and escort them to dining tables as needed.
Take meal orders accurately and serve food and beverages promptly.
Ensure residents receive meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
Maintain knowledge of daily menus, special diets, and menu substitutions.
Assist residents as needed during meal service while promoting dignity and independence.
Set up and break down dining rooms before and after meals.
Clear tables, wash serving equipment, and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Refill beverages, condiments, and dining room supplies.
Communicate resident concerns, changes in appetite, or dining issues to supervisors.
Assist with special events, holiday meals, and community functions.
Follow all food safety, infection control, and sanitation procedures.
Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and customer service standards.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, caregivers, and other departments.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous serving, hospitality, restaurant, or senior living experience preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must possess excellent customer service skills.
Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.
