Job summary

Bohlsen Restaurants - Teller's Chophouse is seeking a friendly server to take and deliver orders, input into POS, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.

Requirements include 18 years of age, at least three years in fine dining, and basic math with POS ability; spirits/wine knowledge is a plus. Ability to stand and carry trays in a lively setting is needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of three years of previous fine dining serving experience.
• Spirits and wine knowledge preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays up to 25 pounds in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and/or beverage, take orders, deliver and clear tables.
• Greet guests, explain specials and promotions.
• Input orders into the POS and inform the kitchen of order details.
• Retrieve orders from kitchen, confirm accuracy, and deliver to guests.
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal and check in with guests.

• Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items
• Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
• Greets the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness
• Takes the order and inputs the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars of the order
• Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy and delivers it to guests
• Ascertain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
• Prepare final bill, check for accuracy, retrieve and process payment in a timely manner
• Thanks guests for their visit and invites them to return

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prefer a minimum of three years of previous fine dining serving experience
• Spirits and wine knowledge preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written)
• Possess basic math skills and the ability to handle money, as well as operate a POS system
• Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor
• Be able to hear customers from 15 feet away in a noisy environment
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays up to 25 pounds frequently for prolonged periods of time
