Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in hospitality/service environment preferred.
• Strong customer service mindset and polished professional image.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Reliable with good attendance and flexibility to work weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at assigned stations and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Set up dining room section and assist with side stations; leave areas cleaner.
• Describe menu items accurately and maintain quality/presentation standards.
• Distribute menus and assist with side work and station setup.
• Take guest orders and relay to kitchen; note any special instructions.
• Assemble food, procure items as needed, and manage service flow.
• Serve courses and present checks; replenish beverages as needed.
• Ensure guest satisfaction, check back, and manage checks for accuracy.
• Suggest desserts, coffee, and after-dinner drinks.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Server ensures prompt and polite service to the members and their guests. They are responsible for preparing service stations; greeting, receiving orders, serving and presenting the check to members and their guests; cleaning and resetting tables; cleaning and closing service stations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet all arriving guests at assigned stations in a pleasant manner, making them feel welcome and at ease.
• Assume responsibility for proper set-up of your dining room section and help with all work stations. Leave these areas cleaner than you found them.
• Understand/describe menu items in detail to members/guests. Be proud of what you serve. Serve only F&B items that meet quality/presentation standards.
• Distributes menus, if applicable Sets up side station and performs side work.
• Takes members/guests orders. Place orders with kitchen; informs expeditors about any special cooking instructions.
• Assembles food on tray; procures items from each station as necessary.
• Serves meal; places dishes by courses in front of each person.
• Checks back to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary.
• Verifies accuracy of prices and other charges on all checks. Ensures that members sign their checks accordingly.
• Removes spoiled dishes.
• Suggests and serves dessert, coffee and after dinner drinks.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; one year (+) related experience and/or training.

Must be Nineteen Years of Age (To serve alcohol) .

Must have valid, current Maricopa County Food Handlers Card.

Present a positive, professional image.

Must be self-motivated and customer service oriented.

Strong interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills.

Reliable and predictable attendance.

Flexible availability to work weekends and some holidays.
