Job summary

The Brigantine is seeking a Server in San Diego to deliver hospitality and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining dining and employee area cleanliness and safety.

You will take orders, serve guests, process payments, and promote menu items in a fast-paced environment. A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong communication are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication required.
• Must be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, and wipe for extended periods.
• Must be able to carry trays and supplies up to 30 lbs.
• Food Handler Certification.
• Responsible Alcohol Service Certification.
• Minimum 1 year serving experience in a full-service restaurant with liquor, beer, and wine.

Job Summary:

The Server is primarily responsible for delivering hospitality and extraordinary service to guests dining in the restaurant. This position is also responsible for cleanliness and safety of the dining and employee areas of the property.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure guests are enjoying their experience and take action to correct any problems.
• Concludes the guest experience by acknowledging choice of establishment and inviting patrons to return.
• Complete assigned sidework at the beginning, during, and at end of shift.
• Keep designated service stations clean and organized.
• Respond urgently and appropriately to guests’ needs.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed guest service expectations.
• Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu, with the ability to answer questions and make suggestions.
• Take orders, serve dining guests, and process payment.
• Exhibit a professional appearance and mannerisms.
