Temple Square Hospitality’s The Roof Restaurant in Salt Lake City is seeking part-time servers to deliver memorable dining experiences at one of Utah’s iconic venues. You’ll greet guests, explain menu options, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied.

With 20-30 hours per week and 3-5 shifts, you’ll earn $2.13 per hour plus tips, with top servers reaching $35-$50 per hour on busy nights. A reliable, team-oriented attitude and food-safety commitment are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of serving experience in upscale dining preferred.
• Ability to provide personalized service and anticipate guests' needs.
• Reliable, positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and establish rapport for a memorable dining experience.
• Guide guests through the menu with strong product knowledge.
• Provide thoughtful recommendations and upsell when appropriate.
• Accurately take orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Monitor tables and respond to guest requests promptly.
• Collaborate with runners, bussers, and kitchen staff for seamless service.
• Maintain clean, organized sections and service areas throughout the shift.
• Contribute to teamwork, hospitality, and professionalism.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Located inside the historic Joseph Smith Memorial Building on Temple Square, The Roof Restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience in one of the most beautiful venues in Utah.

We’re looking for Servers who are passionate professionals and take pride in their craft, contributing to a team known for excellence.

Part-time | 20-30 hours/week | 3-5 shifts

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• 2+ years of serving experience, preferably in upscale dining atmosphere
• Ability to provide personalized service and anticipate guests needs
• Reliable, positive, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards

JOB ENVIRONMENT/OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• May be required to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays, to accommodate business needs
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Ability to repetitively bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check, as well as abide by all company policies
• Takes on additional duties as required or assigned by management

COMPENSATION:

$2.13/hour + Tips (Top Servers can earn $35-$50/hour depending on shift availability, guest volumes, and individual performance). This range is inclusive of multiple job levels. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
