Job summary

VPB Management II LLC is hiring for a food and beverage server at Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach. The role offers $16.90 per hour in California with tips and service charges potential, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

The successful candidate will greet guests, take orders, know menu details and dietary restrictions, maintain a clean dining area, and process payments accurately. This position requires teamwork and adherence to hotel service standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive payments accurately and timely.
• Perform opening/closing and side work duties.
• Prepare food items for guests (appetizers, sides, desserts).
• Assist other servers with tables.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are up to par.
• Follow Marriott standards and 4 Keys service standards; work with a team.

Job Responsibilities

• Greet the guest and take all food and beverage orders.
• Ensure all orders are accurate with requests and substitutions.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items with ingredients with relation to common dietary restrictions.
• Pre and post bus tables in assigned station.
• Maintain a clean dining area at all times.
• Responsible for receiving all payments accurately and timely.
• Performing necessary opening/closing and side work duties.
• Prepare food items for guests including appetizers, sides and desserts.
• Assist other servers with their tables.
• Ensure all equipment is in operation order and all supplies are up to par.
• Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
• Follow 4 Keys service standards, and Marriott standards, and pride yourself and exceptional service to our guests.
• Follow operation procedures and safety standards.
• Follow safety and security procedures.
• Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
• Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations.
• Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
• Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.

Work Hours

• Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.
• Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions.
