Job summary

Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach in California is seeking a friendly server to greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and ensure accuracy and timely service. Knowledge of menu items and dietary considerations is essential.

You will work flexible shifts, maintain a clean dining area, handle payments, and collaborate with other team members to deliver a memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet the guest and take all food and beverage orders.
• Ensure all orders are accurate with requests and substitutions.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items with ingredients and dietary restrictions.
• Pre and post bus tables in assigned station.
• Maintain a clean dining area at all times.
• Responsible for receiving all payments accurately and timely.
• Perform opening/closing and side work duties.
• Prepare food items for guests including appetizers, sides and desserts.
• Assist other servers with their tables.
• Ensure all equipment is in operation and supplies are up to par.
• Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered.
• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of service areas.
• Follow 4 Keys service standards, SOPs, and safety standards.
• Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
• Follow policies and pursue continuous improvement of operations.
• Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
• Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.

Work Hours

• Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.
• Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions.
