Job summary

OfCorsica NYC, a new Mediterranean restaurant by Little Island, is seeking a Server to deliver warm, knowledgeable service from seating to the end of the dining experience. You’ll guide menus, discuss wine pairings, and ensure guests feel welcomed and valued.

The role emphasizes upselling, accurate payments, and upholding health and safety standards, with ongoing training to deepen product knowledge and guest connections.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Server in a high-volume, full-service restaurant or comparable hospitality setting.
• Genuine passion for food, wine, and Mediterranean culture.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to connect authentically with guests and teammates.
• Strong sales orientation and ability to contribute to team performance goals.
• Poised, polished, and professional demeanor under pressure.
• Must be fluent in English and able to accurately operate a POS system.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Actively upsell specials, promote featured wines, and support the execution of marketing initiatives and events
• Handle payment transactions with accuracy and adhere to company cash handling standards
• Maintain clean and organized service areas and assist in opening, closing, and side work responsibilities
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with all local and company regulations
• Engage in ongoing training, wine tastings, and cultural immersion to deepen product knowledge and guest connection
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly, escalating when needed to management
• Represent OfCorsica’s brand and values at all times through presentation, professionalism, and service approach
